Christine Engel, Owner

I started training dogs when I was 9 and a family friend invited me to join the 4-H dog project. From that point, I was hooked! I continued to train and show in 4-H until I graduated and then became the Nicollet County 4-H dog project leader. As an adult, I compete in multiple sports with my dogs including agility, obedience, rally and dock diving. I have been teaching obedience, agility and puppy classes in various capacities for more than 10 years. My favorite part of teaching is watching dogs and their handlers grow together as a team. Training is an amazing way to strengthen the bond between human and dog and my goal is always to do my best to do just that - whether your goals are competition or a well mannered family dog, your relationship with your dog is always my first priority!
How did Blue Ribbon Dogs get its name?

Meet Chex, my Blue Ribbon Dog. He and I have earned many blue ribbons together and along the way have built an incredible bond which has been instrumental in our success. While not every dog owner has goals of earning blue ribbons, they still deserve to have that same relationship with their dog. Blue Ribbon Dogs was born with a goal of giving dog owners the tools to build stronger bonds with their dogs through learning, play and trust. And if your goal IS to win blue ribbons, we can help with that too.
Mission
At Blue Ribbon Dogs, we believe in a personalized approach to training, recognizing that every dog is unique and requires individualized attention.
